So, every once in a while, I like to update you guys on things that are not strictly writing-related. So, that's what this will be.

Since some of the people on the livestream asked about it, I talked with my publisher about how Volume 1 is doing in terms of sales. The general consensus is that it's doing well. For reference, when I had that conversation with them a week ago, they generally consider any ebook that breaks into the top 5000 overall on Amazon to be performing fairly well, and I think it was hovering somewhere around 4300 in overall site rank at that point. When I just went and checked on it five seconds ago, it's overall site rank was 1821, and it was ranking at #5 in the Asian Myth & Legend ebooks subcategory. So, I'm assuming that my publisher is happy, which means that I'm happy.

In other news, I had two other publishing projects at the end of last year that didn't involve my writing. One of them was a post-apocalypic novel written by my aunt. It's not the kind of hardcore violent post-apocalyptic novel that seem to have become the norm. It's more character-centric and story-driven. If that sounds like your cup of tea, it's called The Road to Hidden Acres and you can find it on Amazon here.

My role was largely a technical support role, rather than an editorial role, so don't expect to see my hand at work in shaping the narrative. I just helped get the files into a condition that Amazon would accept them.

The other publishing project was a book written by my great grandmother. It's a memoir that covers a pretty big chunk of the 20th century from the perspective of a woman living in a rural area of the country. Again, if that sounds like something that might interest you, it's called Over My Shoulder and you can find it on Amazon here. Again, my role was merely tech support in terms of getting the files into shape and uploaded onto Amazon.

Incidentally, working on those projects was part of the reason why I stalled out a bit on Rinn's Run. There are only so many hours in the day, and only so many hours where my brain is good for working. With those projects out of the way and the holiday season over, I should be able to reclaim my schedule with more authority and start working on Rinn's Run and some of those other back burner projects (Forde Voss, Stormbreak).

Aside from that, I'm currently reviewing copyedits for Unintended Cultivator Volume 2. I've seen the nearly complete cover art for Volume 2, and it's pretty sweet.  Assuming nothing bad happens, everything should be on track for the scheduled March 12 release of the ebook and print version. I haven't heard anything yet regarding the audiobook for Volume 1, but I'll make sure I ask about that this week because I'm as excited about the idea of an audiobook as everyone else.

My publisher has placed the order for print copies for me. So, hopefully that will show up here in the next couple weeks, and I'll be able to send out signed copies to the fine folks in the Uncle Kho's Cultivation Corner tier.

Okay, I think that covers the big stuff.
