Writing Update: March 2024 (Patreon)

Lots to update, so I'll get right into it.

A Thousand Li

A Thousand Li: the Fourth Stage released on March 1, 2024. For those who are patrons, the next book is already releasing and about 3/4 done on release to patrons. I just finished editing it, so it'll be going to the editor later in the month and then we will have quiet for a few weeks. The book itself needs to be done in May so that Travis can record it.

I have already started (and then put aside) book 12, so I'll be back to writing that very soon. I just need to get another piece of editing done first before I can turn my attention to it fully.

Also, if you didn't know, we have a Kickstarter for a deluxe edition of the First Step which we will be launching in April. Do follow it if you're even vaguely interested and, of course, let your friends and family know!

The System Apocalypse

If you haven't seen the new covers for the omnibus editions, do check it out. They really are quite pretty.

System Apocalypse: Kismet book 2 (Fool's Bond) was released a few months ago and continues to have an amazing 4.6 rating from its reader. If you haven't read the series yet, do make sure to check out all the books, with the last book coming out later this year. 

It's not your typical LitRPG, with a more relaxed and humorous vibe to it with a Fool as one of the main characters.

In addition, we've got another co-author series releasing this year. This one is by Jason J. Willis and comes from the previous anthology too. It's an exciting piece of work that features some of the alien cast that we haven't seen as much of too.

And, of course, Relentless 4 is being written. No word yet on when we'll get the next SA: Australia as KT Hanna works on her solo projects.

Climbing the Ranks

The webserial continues to be released for free on Starlit Publishing. You can also buy the first book on any of the retailers or Starlit Publishing itself if you prefer books that way. And, of course, if you wanted more chapters, we have a subscription system running.

Hidden Dishes

Cover release of Chaotic Apertifs is available. Book releases on May 1, 2024 on Amazon and other retailers and on April 1 on Starlit Publishing. The cozy cooking fantasy series will continue to be recorded by Emily Zoo Weller and we have at least one other novella on contract, though I actually have plans for around 6 or 7 total novellas.

Other Works

Magic Kingdom at War is the major editing project now that we're done with A Thousand Li. I've got about 60k worth of words to edit after locating a medium-sized mistake in my calculations. 

I'll admit, Magic Kingdom might be the series I don't ever finish. It is a big series, and every time I make a mistake, it pushes me even further back. I'll finish up the current book after edits, but after that; if the series doesn't sell it might just never finish.

Outside of that, I wrote a short story for an anthology. We'll see if it gets picked up. I have been sending out stories, though no bites so far. I'll keep at that for a bit, just because I can. At some point, I have hopes some of what l've written will be accepted, but it's low on the priority list.

I do have an idea for a rather fascinating piece of work, I just don't know when I'll get to it. If I start it, I'd have to set aside some other projects I've been trying to get done; including one that is over 2 years old now. 

We shall see. I got to keep Magic Kingdom, ATL, the sequel to that and Climbing the Ranks running.
