Writing Updates: More Cons, Exhaustion and Sickness (Patreon)
Content
Yeah, I'm a little sick again, after coming back from 20books. Hacking up a lung with disgusting phlegm.
Because of that, I've pushed back release date to March 1, 2022. I really feel like I should have set it a year back, then just yank it forward. I should, hopefully, manage to hit the deadline for my editing; but that's no guarantee what with being sick and my con.
Oh yeah, I got Discon III in December this year. I'll be on a bunch of online panels and a couple of in-person ones, so we'll see how it plays out. I'm looking forward to it (though not more Covid tests) since I get to talk to new people, meet some new authors and maybe even some new fans.
I haven't signed up for any readings, though maybe I should one day. *sighs* One day, maybe I'll figure something like that out, but I don't really have much confidence in areas like that. There's a reason why I was the Darth Bear for ages.
I am thinking, after I finally submit SA 12, I might take a week or two off. Just time to chill rather than writing or doing other things. Not at burnout (though being sick and working is not fun); but I do think rest might be good.
Doing all these cons and playing extrovert has been rather exhausting really. I also want to slowly work through what my next book series will be. A part of me wants to work on the big fantasy series I've been considering and the other is playing with this idea of mine that is more scifi. I'm a little worried about the potential income from the scifi one, but... I have a bit of leeway since ATL is still doing well.
Ah well... we shall see what happens. Next year should be interesting with SA (main) ending.
