It's interesting that the elder is surprised to find so many Body Cultivators in the city. That means he's older than the Yellow Dragon Emperor's spreading of cultivation to the masses, right? So several hundred, if not a thousand years?

Cultivation trends go in waves. Sometimes, one or the other ends up being more popular. And this isn't in the Kingdom of Shen where Body Cultivation is much, much less common.
