Hi all the new patrons and resubscribing patrons;

I know I don't say that often enough, but hi everyone. Thanks for subscribing and sticking around for my constant flow of random chapters and business musings and... all the rest.

Went into a small rant on r/litrpg (reddit) 'cause an author used marketing instead of promotions (and not even that). *sighs* I know I'm quite often inexact with my terminology, but some things are important.

Don't post about how you're doing a marketing post when it's just a promotional tactics post (and not even that detailed). People keep using the word without realising it means so much more than they realise, and then so many authors wonder why they aren't doing well....

*sighs*

Anyway. Life is going along slowly. We're reopened enough that summer camps have started so I have my house to myself. Which means I have less reason to continue procrastinating.

Trying to stay away from social media, though I'm getting to the point I'm less purely enraged and just... going huh. And kind of watching in awe at what the protestors are managing to achieve... and what they might.

I'm at about 32k (5-6k of backmatter) into the Second Expedition.

My magpie brain keeps going 'shiny' at other ideas, with a few more written out. I know 2 are not xianxia or litrpg based... more traditional fantasy kinds.

And, of course, I always have the random LitRPG ideas. Heee...

I do think I'll try to focus on writing more shorts for the world I built, so I at least have a 60k book. So that means another... 3 or 4 shorts. Which is my next project when Second Expedition is done. At least one short story. Shouldn't take more than a few days...

I've been debating hiring another PA. Part-time for now. Partly to relieve the work I'm doing on the publishing company, partly to catch up on a ton of stuff I should do for my own books. But... I kind of want to make sure what I have done works first.

Then... if I can launch Grayson properly, I'll probably start promoting the publishing company a bit more and hire people when I get writers. Heee... so I don't keep procrastinating writing.
