The End! (Patreon)

As mentioned, I have no idea how long books get. I cut out a few things, because they didn't fit the ending that John decided to make. Or me. Hmmm.... I can't blame John for this ending as much, he mostly listened.

Mostly.

Anyway, I just typed 'The End' on the 1st draft. Current word count - 117,718.

I expect it'll go up more. I need to fit in a bunch of foreshadowing, some other scenes that will make the ending work, fix some pacing issues, etc.  But, I believe this makes it the biggest book in the SA universe already, more than Rebel Star that was at 114k.

I am NOT going to post further chapters for a bit. Because of the way the ending worked out, there's a TON of foreshadowing that I need to add. Without it, some of what I've done comes way too Deus Ex. Some of the aspects of what is happening is hinted at already (in this and earlier books), but I need to add a little more explicit information.

I am going back to Chapter 1, edit from there. I have 8 days, 24 chapters. I need to edit and write 3 chapters a day. At that rate, I expect you'll get a new chapter next Tuesday. And I'll work with Kate to figure out new posting schedule when I'm ready.

This brings us to the end-game though. The Galactic arc which basically had John traipse around and see different parts of the world (inside the capital, outside and then deeply into one of the society's) comes to an end.

The next arc is the concluding arc, where the question of what the System is gets answered.
