Dictation, Pain & Writing Schedules (Patreon)

So, I messed up. I set myself up for 2 different short stories and the regular writing this week.  It'd be fine if I could hit 5-6k a day regularly, but I can't. And so, I've had to work constantly to try to hit the numbers.

Good news is both shorts are done. I need to edit them, but one isn't really due till Sunday and the other not for a bit, so I can edit them on Saturday / Sunday. Edits are easier.

Unfortunately, it's now Friday and I've barely started and my hands are killing me. So.. I bought Dragon (dictation software) to try yesterday. Ended up adding about 852 words yesterday. Some of it needed a quick edit, others weren't as bad.

I'm a little worried since dictation voice and typing voice (and hell, longhand writing voice) is slightly different. Hopefully because dictation voice requires an edit, that'll smooth out.  I'll post the files up when it's ready and well, we'll see if you guys notice the switch. :)

Anyway, that's my new toy. Hopefully, this helps and I can actually add both words and speed. Maybe get more books out! We'll have to see how dictation works.
