Book Release & Conference Over (Patreon)

The First Stop from A Thousand Li has released today. I'm sure you've all read it, but it's out! WOOT!

Conference is done. Waiting at a coffee shop in Edinburgh right now. First chapter of Book 8 will release either today or tomorrow, depending on whether I get enough time to add it to this. I wrote 0 words on Rebel Star during the conference.

I did finish my short-story, but there's a bunch of notes for what needs to be added and I'm not sure if the quality is as good as my usual first draft one's. There was a lot of talking and distractions, but I'm quite happy with the story (overall) so it's a matter of adding some descriptions, smoothing out the flow and tension. I am SUPER happy with it. And I have a really cool idea to tie-in all the short stories too from the anthology.

Except another short story (or 2). One has not been accepted, I wanted your views on it (with the writer's permission) before I signed it. It's a bit more 'out there' than my previous work, and it pushes the boundary of the System more than I'd like but the gist of the story is cool. 

The second just needs some minor editing and then it'll be ready to come up.

I also have a few other submissions I have to read but I'm not sure where that is going.

In other conference news, I walked away with a lot of marketing and advertising ideas so I've got to get that all done. Along with that, I've got a collaboration agreement with someone else for a REALLY cool idea that has been bumming around my head. I'm hoping it works out, especially since I cannot (myself) write it. It's a Romantic Gamelit so, a little out of my comfort zone. 

And that's it. Amazing conference. I've got a lot more to post about it, including a discussion about some of what I intend to post here (or not) but that's another post.
