This is getting expensive... (Patreon)

So, this might get expensive. *sighs*

Trying to get a cover art done for the comic. Obviously, this varies. I contacted one person to do it, the art is okay, but it's... well, I'm not sure I'm happy with it. Luckily, he's cheap so at worse, I have more random art to add.

So, I went and made a post for more artists. I found a couple of really interesting work,.

Contacted one guy and I'm not even sure he's going to continue the work. Issues with Paypal holding money and him wanting me to tell PayPal I've received work I haven't. As such, I'm not talking to a 3rd person.

Which means I'm looking at paying 3 different cover artists if all of them come through. *twitches*

I have to admit, I've been spoiled. Sarah, my regular cover artist for my books is amazing. I have never really had to look for a different cover artist / cover work. I know a LOT of writers who go through this with their covers, who just can't find someone good.

But... ouch. 

On another note.

I'm thinking of doing a Dakota and running a short-story open call in the System Apocalypse universe. I'll (obviously) add my own short story to the collection. I'm debating how I'm going to structure the entire process. In particular, payment terms and royalty rates (if any).
