Hey guys,

It's been a while, I know. Here are the first 8 backgrounds of this cartoon (will need about 20 in total but many of them are MUCH simpler than these) I am handling some of the backgrounds in their entirety but most were sketched out by me and coloured by Joyce Oder (see an original sketch of mine below for comparison). Hoping to get through them all this week. Speak again soon.

I love the dark aesthetic. It reminds me of Batman the animated series. I want to see the finished cartoon already! :D

Definitely going for that 80s/90s action cartoon vibe (TMNT, Batman etc). Thanks, Karkos. I wanna see it too!!!!

Hey looks great Harry, consistent theme and everything. Really sets the mood. Glad to hear from you, it's been a while! That being said life gets busy and we understand that. Looking forward to the next prize draw too. Keep up the amazing work mate!

I like how, despite being a bland back alley they really have a color palette that makes them easy to look at.

harrypartridge

Yup, was out of the country for two weeks but back now and ready to share what I've been up to. Thanks so much for sticking around, Jake :)

Aw, thanks Bouse. Gonna tweak these boys a bit and clean up a few rough areas, but the palette is pretty much final :)

Ohh man. Those are some beautiful, high quality backgrounds. Love the lighting of the scenes. 3 & 6 could be some real good wallpapers.

Damn Harry these are suuuper nice. Can tell you really went for it with these. Props to you and to Joyce for these

Cheers, Gregor! Yeah, she did great work. For as long as this cartoon is taking, at the very least it should look very nice.

Man, now I'm having nostalgia waves for the 90's cartoons I used to watch, lol. Beautiful work. I can almost hear an inspiring heroic theme and I expect to see some random about-to-be-punched thugs wandering in frame! You and M. Oder have done a wonderful job on these!

harrypartridge

Thanks, Trevor. Definitely inspired by good old 90s action cartoons. They don't make 'em like they used to.

Others have already commented on the '80's/'90's action cartoon aesthetics, and I definitely see it, too! Looks very inspired and a good blend of dark and cartoony.
