Elliot is left out of this one, but despite the podcast's best effort to quarantine his bad ideas, he opens the show with a 6 minute monologue that will ensure the rest of the podcast feels composed and thoughtful. After Elliot mercifully exits the pod, Tim hosts Clive and Paul in reacting to a disappointing 1-0 home loss to Leicester City.

NOTE: In honor of the British Arsenal fans being fleeced for £15 to watch the match, this episode has been made available to everyone for free.

This game raised a lot of questions for me about Arteta and the Partey signing

Anonymous

Love Partey but he was basically marking himself out the whole game, why was he always so close to Harvey Barnes

For me, if we play in a style where we make 1 or 2 big chances in a match then please let them come to Auba. Play him though the middle... and who knows if we played wingers wide we may even create more than 1 clear chance.

Great pod Tim Paul Clive

Last season we all watched as these same players play attacking football going forward and letting Unai down...we watched week in and out mistakes after mistakes us conceding poor goals we all blames unai but there is a serious quality deficit in this team...Ceballos didn't show up Lacazette needs to be on the bench just not ruthless enough

Who did that Ozil noise 🤔🤣

Agreed , looked like he deliberately was in between 2-3 leciester players. May be instructions from the coach.

I know people don't want to talk Ozil but what's being done to Auba is what was done to Ozil. Invest a lot of money in the most talented player and not build the team around him. Investing in Ozil and not providing the players and system needed for him to thrive is same as investing in a top striker and playing him on the wings asking him to run up and down and not creating any chances for him. In a couple of years they will try to force him out of the club like they are doing to Ozil now

I was going to give myself the day to ease my frustration after waking up 3.15 AM to watch this game. But I needed to listen to Elliot compound my current feelings 😪

The argument is not for Ozil to start but having him on the bench when we need to create a chance in the last 20 minutes is very valuable

Why are people still asking about Ozil? He’s not in the squad so cannot physically even make the bench. Whether he could improve us in any way is irrelevant right now. What about the things that can be changed? Like the fact that it was clear from Leicester’s lineup that they were going to sit in that deep block, which to me takes away the need for Xhaka AND Ceballos to play alongside Partey in midfield. For me this was crying out for 4-3-3, maybe with Saka on left side of the midfield, and Pepe getting the start from the right of the front 3. Good point made about AMN, I think he should get a chance in midfield alongside Partey

Longtime Patron. Can the instant reaction pods for Box Office defeats stay free? Or at least until they make the PPV price fair? A classy touch for a classy pod x

Nice one guys, loads of common sense. Always good after a loss. This car wants to drive faster but the parts can't handle it so they fall off. With Partey I would like to see AMN or even Willock. Less security, more aggressive, more speed, more adventurous. Coquelin wasn't a good footballer but he made that brilliant half a year work with Santi. A little bit with the handbrake off Mikel! ;)

I agree apart from the Partey bit. Arteta has officially started to worry me. The stage is the feeling I got after the Emery Watford match, where I knew he had to go.
