Yeah I'm a fan of this episode, I think you summed it up nicely. The team weren't up to their usual antics but were working together like an underground special ops team would. Gwen's humanity shone through too. I did say she gets better over time haha. I do agree that this concept would make for a good movie. This episode kinda reminds me of the David Tennant two-parter where the Doctor is human, and only Martha know's the truth. It's kind of like that but darker since it's an enemy invasion that's happening.

I thought this was a really good episode, I felt really bad for Beth, it was sad seeing her have to learn the truth and everything she had to deal with, the actress did great in the role. Torchwood got dark with this episode, babies just rolling into traffic, Owen suggesting everyone have sex, just real dark stuff. Seriously though, the team does seem to be working together a lot better in these last 2 episodes, which is great to see and we got to see more of Gwen's humanity in the episode, which is kind of why she was made part of the team in season one, to bring the humanity to the team. Great reaction, I look forward to the next. Thanks to SeeJay for sponsoring the episode.
