If you enjoy the special tasks for contestants, there are some really great ones coming up. And with more episodes per season they don't feel restricted to mess with just one out of the cast, which makes it even less predictable. Appearances by contestants of other seasons are not a regular feature, partly because they introduced a 2 episode special called "Champion of Champions", which has the winners of the first 5 seasons competing against each other. So if you continue on with Taskmaster, watching that after season 5 would be a good choice. And just a tiny bit of information about season 4: one of the contestants was part of a double act called "Mel and Sue". There will be quite a few references to that.

al's gong video was a parody of the gongman, a clip that was shown at the start of rank films. they were a major film company in the uk in the 1930s - 60s. most of their films were made at pinewood studios too which is where the taskmaster studio is. i agree about bringing contestants back and i'd have liked them to continue that too, but i think it was very much an experimental thing. i think it would complicate things a bit and would be sort of unfair choosing just one person to return. the pranks definitely get better and better though.
