Great reaction and I agree. This hilarious episode felt just like good old-fashioned Sunny. There are more gems to come. Now, RJ had it almost right. This was the story: 1. There's a Norwegian grandmaster named Magnus Carlsen, a 32-year-old five-time World Chess Champion. 2. He is widely regarded as the best chess player in the world. Ever. 3. In September 2022, he shockingly lost in a $500,000 tournament to a 19-year-old American player named Hans Niemann. His victory sent chess into uproar. 4. Speculation began because Niemann was known for cheating (using computer assistance) in some online chess games when he was younger. He has insisted that he is now "clean." He said that by some ridicoulous miracle he had guessed Carlsen's unusual opening would be and prepared for it. 5. I have to add: it is challenging to cheat in chess nowadays, especially in top tournaments, but not impossible. 6. Carlsen has hinted that he believes Niemann cheated. Experts are divided. 7. One theory, popularized by Elon Musk, is that Niemann used vibrating anal beads to help him. This became a meme.
