To me this is when season 8 starts to get back in to the groove of what the Office was great at with the longer term character development and story telling. In the earlier seasons this show constantly left off on cliff hangars that made you want to watch the next episode right away but most of season 8 has just been self contained episodes without much happening in the bigger picture. The characters are still funny but The Office is better with some drama.

skz put it very well, this side of season 8 is much more enjoyable overall than the first dozen episodes, for the reasons they elucidated. Looking forward to your next reactions, especially bringing the show a little closer to you Floridians! Would love to hear you guys drop some Florida knowledge in these reactions. Or maybe, for fun, could you both tell us one stereotype about Florida/Florida people that is totally false in your view and one stereotype that you reluctantly agree is accurate?
