I've been waiting to post this comment since the "break up" episode because I first wanted to see what ya'll thought of the show after Nick and Jess were together. Based on everything you've said over the past few episodes (super fun reactions btw), I think you're really gonna enjoy what the show becomes in Season 4. Season 3 was clearly a tough one to write with all the different character developments taking place -- Schmidt cheating on Cece in the early episodes, Nick and Jess in a serious relationship, Winston growing into a whole new level of fun and silly, Coach coming back into the show… it was a lot. These last 3-4 episodes of the season were basically a reset -- the show runners literally said as much before Season 4 premiered. The season finale was for sure intended to re-establish Nick and Jess and friends, not re-open their "will-they-won't-they" dynamic. So even though the breakup was kind of abrupt (and a bummer given all the buildup), in my opinion it was definitely the right call because New Girl is about to hit a whole new level of funny! Going into Season 4 its 100% about shenanigans between friends, instead of trying to force a balance between shenanigans and making a serious relationship work in the middle of it all. I'm seriously excited to watch ya'll react to this next string of episodes, because it's one of my favorite runs of the show!!
