I love love LOVE this episode! I’ve been impatiently waiting for you both to react to this one. I agree that this penultimate episode has set everything up so perfectly- everyone being accountable for their actions. This season is a particularly dark one but so satisfying. Seasons 4 and 5 really are some of the best in the show- best acting, some of my favorite storylines. I have such a love hate relationship with Frank’s character. He’s definitely a piece of shit, and there is no denying that. But I also think he loves his kids, just not as much as he loves drugs and alcohol. He also seems to find a way to land on his feet- getting a transplant is almost impossible and yet here he is getting it! I’ve stated in season one that Mickey was my favorite character and his growth this season was my main reason to continue watching. The acting in shameless is amazing- the cast is SO GOOD at really selling the script each and every episode- but Noel Fisher brings Mickey to life in such a way you can’t help but get sucked in. It’s hard for me to watch him be stuck in limbo. Terry is a scary guy. He’s so so scary and after season 3, we see how scary and dangerous it is for Mickey to come out and live his life as gay. The rape and baby and marriage to the woman he was forced to be with along with Ian pushing him to commit has to be enough to have a breakdown, so I’m proud of him for actually fighting to keep Ian despite how terrified he must have been. Fun fact- a lot of the lines during the scene between Mickey and his dad where he’s “going off” and finally letting loose were ad libbed by Noel. I think you both will enjoy the final episode of season 4- a lot of questions will be answered. :)

Great reaction im glad your enjoying the later episodes of the season more I personally love this episode it has so many great moments. The scene with Frank at the at the end always makes me tear up because its proof to me that Frank truly does love his kids alot he just struggles really hard with being a good person and when he thinks he is seeing Fiona die right next to him he is distraught and visually trying fight the drug/sedative the doctor just gave him and trying to stay awake so he can help her and it breaks my heart.
