Told you it couldn't be overhyped. I like to think that Nick graduated in 1999, which makes his high school talent performance funnier. (I checked Jake Johnson is a couple year older than that, but I can pretend that's how old the characters are.) Great reaction, tons of fun. Warm water baby! Warm water!

Been looking forward to this one! Like you guys said, an all-time classic episode for sure. The episode actually ran right after the Super Bowl back in 2014, so you know Fox thought it was a big deal as well! By the way your guess was exactly right -- Prince was a huge fan of New Girl! According to interviews with the cast, he actually reached out to Zoey Deschanel to ask if he could do a cameo, and it was literally so out of the blue that she thought it was a prank. But Prince was actually super invested in the show, and apparently watched New Girl on his tour bus all the time! Some other fun facts: - Prince specifically requested to play a "sincere" role (rather than just being a token celebrity cameo) so he could help Nick and Jess strengthen their relationship because he was such a fan of them together. - He was so "into" the world of New Girl that apparently he refused to call Jake Johnson by his real name -- he called him "Nick" even when they weren't shooting. - Finally, according to Zoey Deschanel the Kardashians had also filmed a cameo at Prince's house, but Prince had their scene cut because quote "they would never be invited to a Prince party"!
