This is such a bittersweet episode. Michael announcing he was leaving shook the fanbase to the core when this was on TV back in the day. I will say Season 8 is probably my least favorite season. There's still tons of laughs but it takes them awhile to find their footing again. Season 9 is one of my favorites though, the show finishes strong for sure. The cast is just SO good on this show.

There are two characters in the office (not talking about newbies and I really love one of the new guys in the last two office: C) that I just can’t stand in those last two seasons

This is absolutely peak Office. Not that it goes downhill from here (though a small subset of fans suggest as much) but absolutely nothing can top the sentimentality captured in this episode for me, except for maybe some of the Jim-Pam arc in earlier seasons. Looking forward to your continued journey with this amazing show!
