As a teacher I will say that it's exhausting and it's not uncommon for things and relationships in teacher's personal lives to be neglected. At work teachers can become so overstimulated (emails, student questions, keeping a close watch on 20+ kids) that they let things at home slide because it's just too much effort to have to deal with now. There are days where I come home and sit in a quiet dark room for 30 minutes. I can't imagine having to teach/parent my significant other at home too, like Jeanine is.

I'm not really great with ladders either. The principal is an interesting character for me because I find her both irritating, because I think she's terrible at her job and also hilarious. Now that this has been voted in I guess I'm going to have to catch up on the rest of the series so I can watch the reactions.

Yay for Abbott. I think that the first few episodes are definitely a little rawer than the others because they are trying to use all the characters and get you familiar with them. All of the characters (including the boyfriend Tariq) get more fleshed out and there are episodes where they take a background role so you get to enjoy certain characters for certain episodes. This is very similar to both Parks and The Office as you said but I think it gives it a difference being set in education, (Although Jacob did remind me a lot of the character Jonah from Superstore) My favorite character randomly is Mr Johnson the janitor, he gives me kind of less creepy “Creed-vibes” I’m not huge on Ava (the principal) because I don’t think she deserves her job but again, you’ll be able to see different layers of her character. I’m looking forward to more reactions to this :) I don’t think I got the urge to binge until episode four maybe, but once I got into watching it I couldn’t stop :)
