Loved the reaction, thank YOU! Some fun facts about the movie: So Gloria Swanson played Norma Desmond and Swanson was actually a huge silent movie star who struggled to maintain a career once talkies came along. Those were actual pictures of her laid about the house and the movie they watched was also an actual movie Swanson starred in. The guy who played Max, Erich von Stroheim, and Cecil B. Demille were also the directors of Swanson back in the day. Demille was actually filming a movie (forget which one) and one of my bosses said that the Sunset Blvd production happened to be filming at Paramount and were able to film those scenes with Demille by happenstance. I haven't fact-checked this online but this boss worked on the lot for some time. The card game table had some cameos. One was Buster Keaton and another, Heda Hopper. She was also on the phone on Norma's bed during the last scene and was one of the first Hollywood gossip columnists and kind of a legend in her own right. She was everywhere sticking her nose in people's business. It's true when she says there would be no Paramount Pictures without her (Swanson). Glad you found the humor and insanity in Norma's story lol
