I've heard some people say this episodes a little to slow and not much happened, but I really liked the episode, I loved seeing Joel and Ellie bond, the puns were great, I loved when Joel finished the joke and when they were laughing at the end. I also liked the moment when Joel was teaching Ellie how to use the gun and their discussions about Joel wishing Ellie didn't have to use the gun and Ellie asking Joel if he killed innocent people, which judging by his long pause and non-answer is a yes. I really love that this show, despite everything going on and the world they live in, remembers that Ellie is a kid. That moment when Ellie shot the person to save Joel and the person turned out to be younger then I thought and he started to say stuff about now knowing what to do and wanting to go to his mom's, coupled with Ellie's reaction when she could hear Joel killing him, was a difficult scene to watch. Great reaction, I look forward to the next one.

TLOU is outstanding largely because, every single comment made, every bit of underderstanding shared between them, about who they really are, becomes absolutely necessary to save Ellie and Joel. It takes every bit them working together, to get as far as each of them gets.
