I loved your reaction to this. I need to see Red Dragon because I do love Ralph Finnes. For me, the part at the end where he says that they need to be made a new, just the delivery of the line reminded me of Voldemort. I suppose the only villain roles I can remember him doing are Voldemort and Amon Goeth from Schindlers List (one of his very first roles) In terms of where I would place myself in the restaurant is probably on the dock, lol, I can’t afford it, but inside the room maybe a cross between Tyler and Margot/Erin. I love food and would get really interested and excited by all the different techniques. I would ask people’s names if they said mine and would ask them how they are first of all but I wouldn’t be able to stop myself from being curious about the techniques and flavors and presentation. (Although who wouldn’t prefer a cheeseburger to most of the menu especially foam). I know that I’m home cook/master chef contestant level of cooking. I’ve been doing it since I was a kid and my mother always made sure that I knew the basic cake, cookie, and pastry recipes. I also have a number of fish and chicken dishes I could whip up if put on the spot. But I’m not a professional and I admire professionals and the work and training they have. Well, at least I know how to sauté leeks and shallots, what herbs and spices compliment butter in a sauce (why not even add lemon juice to butter) and the way that a piece of lamb is blue, rare, and medium rare (because for most lamb, unlike other red meat, you don’t want it well done) Anyways sorry to ramble. Great reaction. Absolutely loved seeing your take on it.
