Cool theory J. That's also a really cool thought about Mare of Eastown. I have to confess my shame that I did not guess the killer in Mare, and I had spent the previous five years telling anyone who'd watched Broadchurch that no matter what the show said, I still think Tom killed Danny. Mare does the exact plot twist and I miss it. Smack my head. They did have GPS in the UK at that time. Actually, I noticed CCTV being a plot point in UK dramas way before it was as common here. I assume Lucas' cab was older and wasn't equipped. They do talk about pinging phones at times. I love that scene with Trish and Beth too. Just my two cents, but Mark sucks. I feel for him, but he's just so wishy-washy and brought most of his guilt on himself. Rewatching with you, I started to feel old because all I keep focusing on is the way Hardy sometimes doesn't put on his glasses and moves his phone or things way out at arm's length to read. Lol. I do that all the time lately. Reading glasses are a pain. Very nice touch there Tennant. Also, my VPN means I get a lot of UK news, and earlier this month there was a massive rock fall on that beautiful beach. That's all sandstone, so that apparently landslides happens a lot in the region.
