I love this episode for so many different reasons. I love the darker tone and how tense it was, the acting from Donna(Catherine Tate) was fantastic, I also loved that Rose felt more like the Doctor in this episode, knowing more than we and everyone else does and coming up with the plans to fix things, plus not knowing if the plans even going to work, kind of like the Doctor most of the time. I also loved that it showed that Donna, who thinks so low of herself, largely because of her mother constantly saying she's useless, is actually incredibly important and special. Also, like I always say about Russell T Davies and how well he builds up the stories, I loved all the callbacks in this episode to all the big things that the Doctor had stopped with the help of Donna, the mention of all the companions and friends of the Doctor, with Martha, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Smith, the other 3 names mentioned who had died with her Luke, Clyde and Maria were the kids from the Sarah Jane Adventures. Not to mention the "There's something on your back" line from the Fires of Pompeii episode when the soothsayers were fighting to prove who knew more and one of them said that to Donna, all they way back at the beginning of the season and Bad Wolf from season 1 Also, one of the unit members was the same actor from the 2 part episode with the cars, the one who was being rather arrogant and got himself and his partner killed and turned into clones by the Sontarans. Also, the actress who played the fortune teller was the same actress who played Chantho in Utopia the episode were me met the Master. This was a great episode, I'm glad you enjoyed it, I look forward to the next one.

Phew, finally caught up with your Doctor Who reactions, what a journey! Great reaction! This episode is possibly one of the darkest Doctor Who episodes. The funny thing for me is, since Donna is far from my favourite companion and this is one of the infamous „Doctor Lite“ episodes, I always think I should actually not really care about this episode, but whenever I start watching it, it just pulls me right in. It‘s just so well done. Every time you get excited about that specific music, I get excited alongside you, haha! It‘s probably my favourite piece from Murray Gold‘s Doctor Who score. It was first introduced in Series 3 and has been used all over the place and in all kinds of variations throughout lots the episodes since then. It‘s called „All the Strange Creatures“. I‘m so excited for your reactions to the upcoming two episodes and the Specials after that. You‘re in for some epic conclusions and, oh, all the feels! We really are dealing with peak Who here. By the way, it‘s so lovely to see you grow to appreciate the show more and more. As a fan of the show, it‘s just a joy to see others enjoy something you love. Can‘t wait for the next reaction!
