I think the next episode is probably the best episode of the season besides the first (in my opinion) and will be a good gauge as to if you will truly enjoy the show moving forward. Obviously everyone has their own personal preferences and tastes, but listening to your comments at the end of episodes I would just say that one thing to consider is that this is not a detective show that happens to be funny, it's a comedy show that uses the detective show model to deliver its comedy. Sometimes the cases are a little "easy" to solve for the viewer, but the show itself definitely focuses much more on the character interactions and the comedy and character development that comes from those interactions as it moves forward.
