Don't worry, I didn't fully understand the whole psychic thing at first either. Took me a couple of rewatches before I made the connection. The Master created the Archangel network which was telepathically mind controlling the world. That's how he managed to get voted in as Prime Minister. During the year Martha was on Earth she was giving a specific time and date to collectively think of the Doctor. The Master used Archangel to control their minds, by collectively thinking of the same thing at the same time it reversed the mind control and sent that message back through the network. While Martha was on earth the Doctor was tapping into the network so when the message came back through, it was concentrated directly through him. The psychic energy created by billions of people, all being channeled through the network to the Doctor triggered regenerative response, reversing the aging done by the Master. The floating and cool white glow was probably just the special effects team getting creative lol. Great reaction as always. I'm seriously excited for Season 4, and more importantly the run of specials that will come between S04 and S05, which I always consider part of season 4 (technically they aren't).

This was a great finale and a great reaction. Martha really got to shine and be the hero in this episode, which was great, I was also sad she left after only one season, although I was happy she got to choose to leave, rather than having something terrible happen to her or getting trapped in another universe, at least she's still out there. The actor who played the master was fantastic and the build up to the finale all season was done so well, making the pay off of everything so much better. I feel like the Russell T Davies did a really good job of that this season, probably better then previous seasons, although I still think the bad wolf stuff was great in season 1, their wasn't really any build up stories in season 2, but he did great this season. I love the reveal that Jack was the Face of Boe. I did feel bad for Martha this season with her and the Doctor, he was in love with Rose and he didn't exactly get to choose to say goodbye to her, she got trapped and he can't see her again and I don't think he was really ready for another companion, but he's the Doctor and he needs a companion and Martha got shortchanged because of it. I'm glad you both enjoyed the season, I hope things have calmed down or is at least starting to calm down for both of you and I look forward to the Christmas special.
