Ending on "has the jury reached a verdict?" is rough for the once a month thing. Wow. Not too much to say here because it's just all about the verdict, and the answer at this point. Just a couple of quick things, I agree that it was smart to do a different format of mystery where it is more of a puzzle and less of a twist for the second season (Unless it is... no spoilers here as to whether or not there is.) Also, I can clarify that it's never made clear whether Alec and Claire had a romantic relationship or not. I think I saw JRabbit wondering on that point. I assume there were some predatory attempts from Claire to use Alec's marriage situation to manipulate/seduce him. But my personal interpretation is that he never actually slept with her because his primary goal is solving the Sandbrook case, and he'd destroy that if he slept with the primary witness. On the other hand, he did proposition Becca Fischer who was a pretty major witness, so... Anyway, I'll leave you with a new UK fun fact. Those beach huts are on many UK beaches and are normally privately owned. They range from storage/beach shelters from the early 20th century, to incredibly modern almost tiny house on wheels style ones. I actually saw a news story that a pretty fancy one--but I must reiterate, still a beach hut with a kitchen and loft for sleeping--located in an incredibly "posh" area, right near the real life equivalent to Sandbrook, was on the market for over half a million pounds. Crazy town.

I love seeing how Claire and Lee's relationship dissolves. Also is it just me or does Claire sound like a pirate? I didn't think I'd be as invested in the Sandbrook case as I was this season. The closing arguments were interesting in that both teams abandoned evidence and appealed to the jury's imaginations; the prosecution as to why Joe didn't testify and the defense suggesting that Mark is the killer. Like I said at the beginning of the season, I love seeing how the consequences of actions in season 1 are playing out in season 2. I can't see Alec getting involved with Claire at all, he seems too stuck on his wife. I think the show is just playing with us by suggesting a romantic relationship between them as it is wont to do.
