Another great episode and great reaction. I like everything their doing with Beth and her mother, I keep thinking something will go bad with their relationship, like when she asks for 10% but it doesn't, Beth just ups it to 15. I also like what they did with Benny, as much as we don't want to see Beth lose, there are other people out there who can play chess really well too, and as we heard in this episode Benny was winning tournaments at 8 years old. She did lose a lot in this episode, finding out she could have lost a prior game, losing to Benny and losing her potential relationship with Townes, with whom it's wasn't clarified if he's with Roger or not but he was sharing a 1 bed, room with him. Also, from what I could gather Beth was likely 17 or 18 at the end of this episode.

For 'Queen' Beth, we've now moved past the 'Pawns,' to the real players on the board... the 'Bishop'; Townes, the 'Rook'; Benny Watts, and the 'King'; the Russian Champion, Vasily Borgov. (much too cliché I know... but I just had to!)
