Thanks for the reaction :) It's good to hear you guys are open to seeing more of it. There are some movies that I'll probably ask for but hopefully I can request episodes of this show in between those movies months ;) until or unless it gets voted in. Also when Jacqueline got upset at Kimmy saying she looked like "a million bucks" that upset her because to Jacqueline that is an insignificant amount of money I've been trying to be better about spoilers in the comments but there' is another reason I wanted to request this show for this month and it has to do with another show you guys are reacting to but that's where I'm going to leave that ;) It's a bit more conceptual than some of Fey's other works but as RJ often says, "I had a good time with it."

Loved seeing a reaction to this show. Just to clarify, this started in 2015, so Kimmy was abducted as a 13 or 14 year old in the year 2000. So, that's where her pop culture and world view comes from. I would say that being from the creative team behind 30 Rock, what you will find, if these reactions continue, is that the show shares that rapid paced almost cartoon like comedy with quick jokes and adds the darkest premise ever for a sitcom. Basically, the inspiration for this show is a combination of Elizabeth Smart and a man named Charles Ramsey who helped rescue the women Ariel Castro had held captive in his basement for years, who went viral from his colorful account of the rescue on the local news. This show should be borderline offensive but they infuse it with so much optimism and goofiness that it works. Once again, as with 30 Rock, there is a Muppety vibe that lets them get away with their very risky premise.
