I really felt for Ted in this episode. I can understand Michelle (That's his wife's name, right?) wanting to get on with her life; Ted letting her off the hook is good news for her. But she doesn't really understand how much it hurts him to do it. I understand where she's coming from, but I'm Team Ted on this one for sure. The scene with Ted's panic attack was simply too real. The way they filmed it really captured a small portion of the feeling. This sure seemed like Ted's first panic attack, and that's a terrifying experience. Panic attacks are scary when they're not new, but the first one is a singularly terrifying experience and it's hard to watch Ted go through it. Rebecca being there for him was a powerful moment.
