Great reaction =D How's that YouTube algorithm treating you now? Hopefully better. Damn, you guys have had to watch multiple departures this week. From Parks to Community but I bet the one you're saddest about is Martin Nash from The Office ;) I adore Britta the most in this episode. She tries HER best to help both Troy and Abed and then she learns that she might need to do it ABED'S way. Annie might be closer to Abed than Britta because she's his roommate but Britta does care (just as she did as Abed's 'mom' in the very early episodes) In terms of characters, I know he hasn't been around much until this episode but I think this is why they introduced Hickey in episode 2 to warm you up to him. I also think that John Oliver's/Professor Duncan's appearances are a little up this season as well. So, one old, one new. The rest of the situation at the time was about Troy leaving being the part where a lot of people stopped watching. Troy's my favorite character and I was debating about whether or not to continue watching but I did and when I saw them (because season 6 was difficult to find) I liked them. In fact probably my second favorite episode is in season 5 but Donald Glover was the heart of Community (shown in the dice/housewarming episode) Leaving was the best choice for Donald Glover and he knew he was disappointing his fans but he grew from it and learned from it and now is super successful so as sad as it was to see him go, it was the best for Donald and I appreciate that.

"Troy and Abed in a bubble" Wonderful metaphor, love this episode. It's a great sendoff for Troy. I was worried when watching this as it aired losing two great characters back to back, but I really like the end of this season and then season 6 is probably my 2nd favourite overall so there's plenty of good stuff to come

Hey guys so this was the episode we all knew was coming. Donald Glover leaving the show for good hits really hard. But unlike with Chevy there was NO bad blood between him and the remaining cast members. Of course Dan and the crew were sad to see Donald go, but no one was mad at him for his decision. You guys should check out the "Community Table Read" they all did last year. It´s hilarious. And we all know what Donald set out to do after the show. From becoming an award winning writer, producer, actor, director, and of course musician. Donald did it all!!! And calling Troys boat the "Childish Tycoon" was a nice nod. So cudos to him and all the best luck for his future endeavors. As everybody said, the show still remains very good, so don´t be discouraged moving forward. PS: Chang playing Rufio from Hook was awesome🤣🤣🤣 Loved your reaction as always and i see you in the next one.

It is so sad to see Troy go, he really is the heart of the show and it will never be the same after this loss. Atlanta however is a masterpiece so it was totally worth it. Lava World is another banger and right up there with the best concept episodes. I love all the rules and strategies they include for hot lava that I'm sure many of us used as children. This is easily my most watched episode of Community and the whole Locker Boys sequence makes me laugh every single time. This episode is like the first bittersweet signs of dusk and the end of a wonderful day, but believe it or not some of Community's most memorable characters and funniest moments are still to come!

I actually have a signed print from Rufio that I got from this box subscription company, The Bam Box, (I’m a 90s kid so hook was big for me) I also have a signed print from LaVar Burton as well ;)

Adam Grunther Comment: So yeah. This is why I prefer season 4 as to season 5 and 6. Troy and Pierce were easily my favorite characters and there is definitely a huge void left by them moving forward. Don’t get me wrong. The writing is still amazing and at the top of its game but for me the character dynamic was always the thing that sucked me into the show. Hickey is great and all, but he definitely seems to be a replacement for Pierce. What’s noticeable is that they didn’t even try to bring in a new character to fill Troy’s spot. It seems even Harmon knew that nobody could replace Troy. While I’m not as big of a fan of the second half of the show as the first half, I have to admit that this is in my top five favorite episodes of the entire series. I always love the paintball-like episodes as they are always amazing and this is no exception. Hickey and Britta were terrific as the antagonists of the episode. While they both were ruining Troy and Abed’s fun through the majority of the episode, the ending in which Britta comes through for her friends by taking out Hickey and helping out Abed was such a sweet moment. I also love Chang in this episode. This definitely felt closer to his role in season 2 where he’s still mainly an enemy to the study group but he isn’t taking over the entire story as the villain like in season 3 and 4. Him admitting that Nathan Fillion is his male crush is honestly one of my favorite moments with him. Who could honestly blame him anyway? It’s Nathan goddamn Fillion! Who WOULD’NT have him as a male celebrity crush? The final scene was also such a beautiful moment. I also love LeVar Burton returning again to sail around the world with him as a final gift and possibly middle finger to Troy from Pierce. I wouldn’t expect anything less. And I guess that’s it for Troy and Pierce. It’s definitely going to be interesting to see your reaction to where the show goes from here.
