I love that Mindy was able to write this episode to express apart of her culture.. Also those are her real parents. Oh the cringe from this is so unbelievable lol. Michael just had to do that in front of everyone.

What Michael mentioned to the parents about the woman burning herself after the husband dies is an actual tradition from India called Sati where the widow will join her husbands body on the funeral pyre, there are still a few recorded cases each year. Fun fact this was the first American TV show to feature the holiday Diwali and it was in lieu of the traditional Halloween episodes which was surprisingly groundbreaking, Looking forward to the next episode.

In the past when I have rewatched this show there are certain episodes I would skip. I couldn't stomach the cringe. But watching yall squirm is so funny to me I have been able to enjoy them for the first time in a while. There is one episode I have never finished. One where Michael was just too much. I might actually be able to finish it with you guys. ...or maybe I'll just mute parts of it and laugh at the faces you make.

great reaction =D You guys know that I'm a Kelly fangirl so I love anything that brings Kelly to the forefront but Michael is so cringe. I don't know whether there Is more cringe in Michael trying to kiss Pam or Michael proposing to Carol. I don't think Ryan understands his relationship with Kelly either. I think that Angela might still feel uncomfortable with what Dwight had said in season one, "there are two races that I'm attracted to, white and Indian." I don't know if that was a throwaway line but maybe this links up to that. Anyway great reaction, looking forward to more

to add onto Fay, there was actually a whole deleted subplot in this episode of angela's jealousy of kelly and insecurities of dwight being attracted to her, because she saw them kiss back in season 2's christmas episode, but also probably because of that throwaway line from s1 as well.
