Hi Patrons!

Comment below on which movies you'd like to recommend for September's Movie Poll! Remember  you can always recommend movies that were on previous polls that didn't win out- this could be their chance to :)

We'll comment on each of your recommendations to outline if we've seen the movie or not. Those we haven't seen will all be added to a poll for Patrons to then vote on! (Remember $1 patrons can recommend movies/shows but only $2 Tiered patrons and up, have the ability to vote on the poll when posted)

We'll post the poll on Wednesday September 1st to give everyone a chance to comment beforehand :D

As a reminder- due to the pulse test results- we'll maintain at 4 movie winners for the month of September.

We look forward to your recommendations!

Thanks as always for the support!

Gonna repitch 'Birdman' and 'Sleepwalk with Me,' and randomly feel like pitching the most underrated comedy of all time: 'Walk Hard: the Dewey Cox Story.' *** More info for potential voters reading this: Birdman (2014): Michael Keaton stars as an aging Hollywood actor trying to become "legitimate" with a big break on Broadway after being made famous by being the titular superhero Birdman in several 90's movies. If it's not my favorite movie, it is damn close. Career bests from Michael Keaton and Edward Norton, and at least top 5 performances from Emma Stone and Zach Galifianakis. Sleepwalk with Me (2012): Stand-up comedian Mike Birbiglia directs/writes/stars in a retelling of his same-named off-Broadway one-man show, wherein he recounts the story of when he first started his stand-up career, got diagnosed with a malignant tumor in his bladder, juggled a long-term and stressful relationship, and dealt with REM behavior disorder (which is like sleepwalking on crystal meth). As he himself says "but it's funny, stay with me!" Walk Hard: the Dewey Cox Story (2007): in the terrible era of spoof movies that was the late 00's, this utter fucking gem flew under the radar. On the surface, it's a parody of Walk the Line and Ray, but it succeeds largely on its own merits, with some fantastic performances from all now-famous comedic actors involved, and actually pretty damn good original music.
