I too am frustrated by the flippant negativity towards sex workers. I'm sad this is almost over.

Hey guys so now we´ve reached the final episode. This show had pretty much everything against it. From airing out of order to horrible time slots and on top of that a network that just didn´t understand the story. From what i´ve heard, the shows direction was "too dark" for Fox, but neither Joss Wheedon nor the cast wanted to change it. That was the final "nail in the coffin" so to speak. What really frustrates me is that this show had so much potential and they really tried to build a whole universe that could have been full of amazing stories. Back in the day the fans sent thousands of e-mails and hand written letters, trying to save the show. The cult following of "Browncoats" worldwide only grew when the DVD-sets were released. A whole movement started to "Bring back Firefly" that took over the media and even swapped over to other TV shows. Hell, even Troy and Abed made a pact that if one of them died, they stage it to look like a suicide, caused by the unjust cancellation of Firefly. 🤣🤣🤣 Due to the fans uproar we did get the Serenity movie in 2005, that kinda wraps up the story, Don´t get me wrong, i am happy for that, but it just wasn´t enough. Unfortunately streaming services weren´t a thing back then, because there is no doubt in my mind that Firefly would have been picked up by one of them in todays age. There is a TV special called "Firefly 10th Anniversary: Browncoats Unite" Pretty much a gathering of the cast and writers sharing stories and reminiscing over the show and what could have been. I highly recommend watching it, but only AFTER the movie. If you want to i can provide that in due time. Just let me know.. Great reaction as always, stay safe and i see you in the next one.
