Good reaction. I really would have loved to do that assignment in school or college by looking at something from both sides. I think you have to be REALLY careful but on my part I feel like the every day citizens of the countries couldn't really do anything in the center of the war so it's interesting to learn what their positions are. ((I'm currently reading a very controversial (and well known) book about the Civil War which actually makes me think of both sides of the civil war)),. I am always a fan of using more characters so I liked seeing the part with them trying to get in because of the pen, because of dungeons and dragons, because Jeff is trying to prove a point, etc. I think there are some good parts next episode but really didn't get into it myself until maybe the third or fourth watch so I'm really excited to find out your response.

I'm 100% with you both. The Chang stuff is super weak, and the Germans were in far too much of this episode... Also, the gang screamed in unison for the 4th time so far this season... 4th time in 4 episodes...... I dont know. That just bothers me. But the actual jokes between the study group members all hit hard. The protest against the Gang, complete with flashbacks, actually felt like previous seasons... and the collapsing chairs is easily the best bit of the season so far. Half of this episode feels like Community and half feels like Community fan fiction... but it's a step up in my opinion.

I actually enjoyed this episode a lot, but I also really enjoy history and got a lot of the German jokes so it made more sense to me.

I'm sorry guys this show is going south on me very fast mainly due to Chang character and his whole storyline makes my skin crawl and every time I see him 😡😡😡I want to jump out of my window. Also this German narrative was so boring and pointless and if the writers wanted to showcase the groups selfishness they could've been more creative and meaningful but they chose a very boring and predictable path to illustrate the point, Can't say I'm looking forward to the next one.

It feels as if they were trying to hard to write a "community" episode this time around and it just fails to form together in the correct pattern, lacking that quality that makes the show so uniquely funny, which is a recurring theme this season to a degree but it has its moments. It gets back that quality in seasons 5 & 6 in full force, they have some great episodes even a few personal favourites, a light on the horizon so to speak for episodes like this which are just not hitting the mark.
