On most sitcoms, the Ann/April karaoke moment would have just been Ann and April, and it would have been both a heartfelt and funny moment, and that would have been it. On Parks, Donna pops into the room halfway through, and it becomes both a heartfelt and utterly hilarious moment. Parks can do that, because Donna has been developed well enough in the background of the show that we already know she would absolutely join in if she heard two coworkers singing "Time After Time." Not necessarily among the best overall episodes for me (Mona Lisa is, to put it gently, not my favorite character), but that one moment is sheer television perfection.
