I don’t like hating on things, and I feel guilty for saying this, but I thought this episode was terrible. Genuinely one of the worst episodes in the series. First off, I really don’t think they needed yet another episode to create a new speed force. We already had an episode with Wells sacrificing himself to create a new speed force so disregarding that plot makes it seem pointless. Second, the fact that they used the literal power of love to create a new speed force is honestly one of the cheesiest things I have ever seen come from this show. I understand this is based on a comic but I didn’t think they would actually do something like that. I think the redemption of the villain does not work in the slightest. It feels so unearned and the fact that Barry and Iris act like they are friends with her feels so off. Lastly, the departure of Ralph is quite possibly one of the most poorly handled exits I have ever seen in a tv show. I understand that Hartley Swayer was fired for the offensive tweets from a while back, but they could have just recast him and then have him leave. Heck, they could have just given him a passing mention. Literally anything would have been better than what they did. It genuinely felt like they were making this exit awkward on purpose. I know that’s not the case but that scene was so embarrassing. I don’t want to just sound like I’m hating for the sake of it as I really loved this show, but this was just a horrible episode in my opinion. I genuinely hope that the show picks up at some point but given that we haven’t gotten a truly great season since season 2, it seems unlikely.

Hey guys to Adams point. I totally get what you mean. I love this show and the characters. I will watch it until the end, no matter what. But sometimes i wonder if the writers still care honestly. I know they can do great storytelling, but i guess you have to have some really low points to recognize the good. Ralps exit truly was the worst. I said it since the actor was fired. His character has the ability to CHANGE SHAPE, so either let him be played by a different actor, or don´t metion him at all. And removing Tom Cavanagh as Wells was another bad move, because, let´s be honest, we cannot have the Flash without Wells, right? They always found a way to bring him back. I remain hopeful that the show will get back to it´s proper form. Anyways, great reaction as always, much love and i see you in the next one.
