The anime alone would have made this a classic but Nick Kroll’s wacky German accent and Leonard’s review puts it over the top. It’s nice to see Shirley and Jeff get a storyline. Troy’s exasperated, “WHY???” when he learns that Annie tried to dust the TV gets me every time.

Love this one - it's another one that isn't as meta as some of the more famous Community episodes (anime cutaway notwitstanding), but both subplots manage to be dramatic and hilarious at the same time. Annie trying to do generic movie commentary in Batman's voice nearly paralyzed me with laughter the first time I saw it, and the cut to the younger versions of Jeff and Shirley walking away is indeed a bit of a tear-jerker. Throw in Abed's over-the-top Batman dialogue, Troy's desperate "You moving in was supposed to TONE US DOWN!!!" and Jeff's amazement and confusion at the human foosball gag the Germans pulled, and you have yet another great Community episode.

Troy's playing along with Abed "returning" after Batman left Is so good. Troy's unconditional support of Abed's unique ways of dealing with the world is why they're the perfect best friends.
