Aaaand this was the episode that made me fall in love with the Shins and, by extension, all early-to-mid 2000's folksy-indie-rock bands. Still deciding whether that's been a good or bad thing in my life. That song, 'New Slang,' that plays over the end is one of my all-time favorites, and actually plays a big part in the movie 'Garden State,' which Zach Braff went on to write, direct, and star in (which, I maintain, is a great little movie as much as people my age want to pretend that they've outgrown it). For the life of me, I forget if he got into the band from the producers of this show, or he was already a fan and started using his starpower to feature music he liked more. Regardless, like I've mentioned before, the Scrubs soundtrack is almost its own character, and provided a great means of breaking through to the mainstream for small bands back before we had Soundcloud and TikTok.

Another wholesome episode and as the title suggested everyones Balancing Act was brilliant to see and Dr. Cox was the MVP once again and it was interesting to see him give Dr.Kelso his power back to him, Can't wait for the next one.
