Love the episode, although it makes me oddly nostalgic for a world (less than 10 years ago) where politics was civil enough to have politicians from both parties make lighthearted appearances on a sit-com. Remember this was only one election cycle after Amy Poehler was writing hard core satire about John McCain's running mate (who was definitely an inspiration for season 1 Michael Scott-esque Leslie). What a difference a decade can make.

What making Leslie look different this season is her hair/roots is darker, a change from her usually yellow blonde hair.

Hey guys, it´s just a joy to see, what this show has become since the pilot. At this point it seems like a well oiled machine and everybody is fiering on all cylinders. Especially Andy and April have grown so much. Remember when he used to live in THE PIT ? 🤣 God i love this song... Leslie is indeed one of a kind. More power to her in putting Pawnee on the map. Loved your reaction as always and i can´t wait for more. See you in the next one.

Loved the season opener I felt bad for Leslie but she shouldn't feel bad at all because she accomplished her childhood dream, also just imagine the state she would've ended up in if she had lost the election this DC trip would've been so much worse. Also I'm still not clear on how they are going to incorporate everyone, because travelling back and forth is not sustainable. Can't wait for the next one.

I really love this season because of all the change that happens but as many have commented the series has hit its stride so it is awesome change. I'm really happy for Ben because he found something he loved although I will miss the "low calzone zone" and the letters from Cleo t-shirt hahaha. I'm really looking forward to seeing the reaction to the rest of the episodes and to the new characters that will come up.
