Thanks for reacting to this movie :) Sorry to totally depress you guys, I honestly didn't mean to. I just wanted to share something based on real life but that often gets overlooked. At least they all ended up together. I think it's cool that Lucas Belon (of course they had to make the family white when they weren't actually /that/ white) became a doctor like his mother whilst Simon and Tomas became lifeguards because of how being in the tsunami affected them. Also, your reaction to the water scenes reminded me of Tom Holland's interviews. This was his first feature film and he talks about how it was really scary but really fun to be under the water since he was on wires and they were literally pulling him from side to side and he did his own stunts. As much as I love our friendly neighborhood Spiderman, I was shocked to hear him say that. Anyway, thank you again. I promise it was not my intention to make you cry. I also hope that you enjoy Mr. Mayor for next month. Maybe not based on a true story like The Chicago 7, The Disaster Artist, and The Impossible (weird they all start with the) but maybe I should ask you guys for something more fun and comedic ;)

Omg no apologies needed! It speaks to how good the movie is that we were so emotionally invested! Really really great pick! We keep talking about how this is definitely a movie we can't believe we haven't seen before because its in a genre (disaster movie but with the added caveat of being based on a true story!) we love! So really appreciate the pick again and don't hesitate to recommend another one like this one :)
