One of the many great things about Community is how versatile it is; the show changes formats week to week, but does so in a way that is always grounded in its characters. One effect of this is that you'll see different fans of the show pick any number of episodes as their favorite, because the episodes all appeal to each audience member in different ways. But also all of the other options are wrong, because THIS is the best episode. The concept is SO fun to start with, and the variations in each timeline are executed SO well, and the jokes are set up SO perfectly from timeline to timeline (multiple comments on the sketchy pizza delivery guy leading to Britta deciding to marry him, Pierce forcing the Eartha Kitt joke in every timeline and then missing Troy's perfect setup in the last one). But like all of Community's best work, it puts all this together while staying grounded - and this episode gives all seven study group members some level of development. Put that together with a classic day-saving speech (coming from Abed this time, not Jeff), a dance party, and the side-splitting closing scene from the darkest timeline, and you have one of the finest pieces of television I've ever seen.

This episode is so good, when I ask people what their favorite Community episode is, I have to add "... other than Remedial Chaos Theory."

I'm not sure if you noticed or not but: - You can see Troy checking out Britta every time she's going to the bathroom which makes Jeff annoyed and that's why he says ' I'm gonna get a drink " - Britta didn't need to smoke when Jeff didn't constantly decline her - Everyone got mad at each other when abed left - You can see pierce deciding not to say his Eartha Kitt story when Jeff left because he was trying to impress Jeff

Abed was also the only one who asked the other people for money from the pizza, which fits his characters perfectly.

LOVE this episode! Especially when we see a genuine smile from Abed watching them dance and joining! and love when he asks Annie to move in with them! Nice to see some not movie related happiness from him!

Also Roxanne was the perfect catchy song for this episode! love when the place is burning and the song is blasting and troy sees the troll among the flames:)
