Yeah...the way comedy changes over time is interesting. #metoo Upon reflection I think the part that really doesn't work for me was when Jen locked the guys in with Denholm. Male rape isn't funny either. But it can be interesting not only to reflect on how comedy changes but the differences in UK and US humor. I don't know if you've watched the UK Office but I like to compare the two and the main difference I notice is that the US characters are all just slightly better looking and everyone is slightly more likeable. I think UK shows are more comfortable with completely horrible characters you don't empathize with at all. Because I don't think they're trying to make this anything other than horrible. He's supposed to be a laughable awful monster like the German cannibal. But there are very funny moments coming so this episode for me is at a head scratcher but you can move on because I remember Season 3 opener as being good.

Yeah this season was a bit lackluster but some of the best episodes are in the next two seasons

How they got away with this episode was beyond me, because this whole episode was distasteful and I'm afraid there's an upcoming episode in next season involving the same character and I'm already Cringing.
