I'm glad that you liked it. The whole thing is so haunting because of just how wrong it is. I learned about this case whilst studying court reporting (the people who take down what is said in the courtroom) and someone was telling us about distractions in the court case. I love real true stories like these as well and the Bobby Seale thing is so messed up :( i think the actors were amazing in this and I hope that I can find some more movies we all love in the future :)

The movie was inaccurate in some cases and accurate in others. For example what happened to Bobby Seale is correct BUT they didn’t let him go the same day they gagged him. Bobby was gagged and bound for weeks during court before it finally being declared a mistrial. The judge was actually worse irl than they showed in the film (which is shocking). The prosecution also had no sympathies for the chicago 7 like the movie showed. The ending scene is also incorrect the closing statements were not of of the fallen in Vietnam; the real closing statements were here: https://boxd.it/1rpkLn I did enjoy this film being made as I am happy more and more people are learning about whats going on but I unfortunately have issue with how Sorkin downplayed the chicago 7’s actual views for it to be more digestible for the general audience.
