The next episode is my absolute favorite of the series. My personal theory is that after his fever Zuko was being who he thought Iroh wanted him to be. Before and after that he was trying to be who his father wanted. From now on we see who he truly is. It's common for children of narcissists and abuse to have trouble with their identity. But now Zuko needs to earn their trust for sure.

I know Zuko has a long way to go to truly belong with them but this was a very satisfying episode that was a long time coming. As for Combustion Man, yes he died in that explosion. The reason he was still attacking after Zuko told him not to was because he had heard that Zuko was cast out as an enemy of the Fire nation and he figured that the Fire Lord would pay a big price for the Avatar, so he went rogue.
