Thanks for the reaction. I agree that this was a lighter episode, and despite the topic of underage drinking, a lot of it was about people wanting to do their high-school time over. I love how Charlie became Gossip Central. It also starts to become clear in this episode that, while Dee has the most moral sense of the four, she's a total mess in her own way. On the question of "were the 3 actors originally from Philadelphia?" Only Rob ("Mac") was from there, and he's the one who suggested setting the show there. Charlie grew up in Rhode Island, and Glenn ("Dennis") was actually born in Japan, to American parents (father in the Air Force). Their first concept for the series had been three struggling actors in LA, and FX told them every actor wanted to make that series -- they needed to come up with a fresher idea. So they chose Philly, and decided that the characters should run a bar, because it would explain how they had some kind of income despite basically goofing off all the time.
