I am so glad you guys enjoyed this film so much! It's a film I was really pleasantly surprised by how sensitive and also gritty it was. The slang term Kanga actually means screw, and the movie is set in England but further North which is why they have such thick accents. The title of the film itself 'Starred Up' means a juvenile offender who has an early transfer into an adult prison due to poor/bad behaviour
