And this was when the show went from great to GOAT. The thing is, anyone can do an homage episode. But a lesser show will usually just have the references be the joke. Community uses the tropes of recognizable media to push characters forward and deliver genuine emotional payoffs. It’s almost annoying how good the show is in that regard.

Congratulations🍾🎉🎈🎊 you guys have finally made it to the first of many “High Concept/ Genre” episodes. Episodes where almost all logic is completely thrown out the window and the entire cast dive into a single storyline. These episodes are usually based on different genres of movies and tv. This episode is obvi based on the classic mafia movies and it was done to perfection, this is one of my favorite episodes and deserves to be in the top 10 episodes list but there are so many top 10 quality episodes that I have about 30 something episodes in my top 10. Thanks for another great reaction, you guys are awesomeee. Catch you in the next one!
