Quick fun fact - in Chidi's lecture at the beginning those were actual philosophy professors Todd May and Pamela Hieronymi.

It's been so great to watch you guys react to this series from beginning to end! I've loved seeing all your emotions throughout and this episode was full of feels! Chidi's wave speech is one of the most beautiful things I've heard and it's a moment that I think of when I'm thinking about death and losing people we love. Janet and Jason had such a cute last scene, I can still remember when Chidi went through the door I said to myself 'I bet Jason is still there' and he was! Because he had to wait to give the necklace to his not-a-girl! Fun fact; the bow-tie Michael gives to Tahani is the one he wears in the very first episode. I love that at least one of the humans decided to stick around and make sure the afterlife system is still in good hands, especially considering the immortal beings don't always have the best judgement. ;) And it's a beautiful contrast how Tahani gets to ascend to being an Architect, Michael the Architect became a human like he's always wanted, I'm so proud of our fire squid, it's what he deserves. Best redemption arc ever. This finale is so beautiful that the only nitpick I have is that I wish Michael and Eleanor's goodbye could have been a little more emotional/meaningful. They had such a cute friendship throughout and while I love that Eleanor's moment of peace came from giving Michael what he wanted, I wish we could have had one last hug or real goodbye between the two of them, but oh well.

Adding on to Victor L's good information, professors May and Hieronymi were philosophy consultants for the series, and it was a treat to see them at Chidi's lecture. (Also making a cameo, as you noted: Ted Danson's wife, Mary Steenburgen, giving him guitar lessons!) We also glimpsed what became of John and Brent (well, Brent's still a work in progress, even after all this time). The show also did some special location filming for the finale: a redwood forest for the scenes near The Door, and multiple locations in Athens and Paris. Thanks so much for reacting to this series, and doing it so well. It was a pleasure to re-experience it with you both.

One of the really lovely things about Tahani's evolution is its connection to what she said to Eleanor early this season: that she's dissatisfied with knowing only how to give parties, she wanted to learn some real skills and be of use to people. And we saw her check off an enormous list of skills mastered (chair-making approved by Nick Offerman!), and finally become an Architect. Bravo to her and the show.

Loved your reactions, guys! You two were the perfect reactors to enjoy re-experiencing this truly amazing show with. If you ever get around to re-watching the whole show, I bet you'll notice a lot of new things as well as clues that foreshadow things to come (like, I think there was an episode where Michael said he wanted to know what it was like to receive a rewards card in the mail? I might be wrong). Thank you again and...take it sleazy.

Yes, Danson and Steenburgen have been happily married since 1995 so that was a nice touch. I think I recall that they wanted to imply a budding romance between Michael and his guitar teacher and figured casting Steenburgen was the perfect way to do it.

Loved your reaction guys this was the perfect ending and I couldn't ask for more in this final episode. this show was perfect from the beginning to the end and I'm glad that I enjoyed this experience with you guys and thank you for all the wonderful reactions.

Man I’m gonna miss watching this show with you guys!! So glad you enjoyed it as much as we all did, really doesn’t get much better than this!!! Maybe for a wrap up, you could do the reaction video to the cast “saying goodbye” to the show. Another Patreon suggested that and I think they left a YouTube link to the video. There were so many fun Easter Eggs in the finale too, someone pointed out the bow tie already, then in Human Michael’s apartment, he was in apartment 322, just like the number of people in the original good/bad place... I also loved that they made his human name “Michael Realman” lmao they show it on the letter the guy brings him. That was such a perfect ending, Eleanor goes back into the universe and a piece of her essence falls into the mail guy and he pulls the letter from the trash and hand delivered it. Beyond perfect!!! The finale is def worth a second watch to pick up all those fun details. And don’t worry, we ALL got emotional from that finale!!! 💔💔♥️♥️

Truly a masterpiece of a show. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. It was been really fantastic to re-watch with you guys every week. I have enjoyed every second of it. I adored the ending for each character. I especially love that Tahani decided not to go through the door and became an architect instead. I loved that we discovered there are other ways to go after the afterlife. Eleanor growing so much that she sacrificed her own happiness to allow Chidi to leave when he was ready was beautiful. And bringing back Mindy was a stroke of genius. I loved the idea of Michael becoming human but I almost wish he'd been born and had grown up human with no memories. I would've enjoyed a good montage like that. Well, enough of my thoughts. I think I've said all I needed to say for this show. Top 5 favorite shows of all time for me. I'll catch you guys on the next series I watch with you, whatever that may be.

Hi! New pateron member here :). I feel a little weird paying money to watch someone cry haha. I knew you would love this finale as much as I did. It was perfect. I'm also so happy you are on season 4 of Parks and Rec, it's probably my favorite season (which you'll see why in a few episodes). I don't want to be spoilery, but I'll just say that I think you'll be satisfied with their finale as well (it's probably my favorite). Mike Shur just makes great shows. Also, I just watched an interview with the actress that plays Janet and she was talking about how good of an actor 'Jason' is. Like they would be having a conversation and then as soon as the cameras were rolling she said there was nothing behind his eyes LOL. I think they are all amazing. I do think it takes a talented actor to play that dumb, but so so loveable. The Chidi speech I also can't talk about without crying. So perfect, great reaction! I'll now be here for the rest of Parks and Rec! :)
